Wine Review: This clear and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Davies Vineyards opens with a black cherry cola and blackberry bouquet with hints of cigar box and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, polished, and suave. The flavor profile is a blackberry and mild tobacco blend with notes of black cherry and oolong tea. We also detected hints of graphite, anise, and cassis. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers enticing aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, plum, and blackberry, complemented by notes of açaí, thyme, and tobacco leaf, intertwined with subtle hints of cocoa nib, cardamom, caramel, and coffee bean. The palate opens with dark red berries and dense fruit, transitioning into a plush mid-palate of cherry, chocolate, Indian spices, and black pepper. The wines layered flavors are beautifully supported by integrated tannins and structure, leading to a plush finish. - Consulting Winemaker Celia Welch.
