Wine Review: This clear and dark straw-colored GG (Grosses Gewächs) Riesling from Nik Weis opens with a fragrant Vaseline and wet stone bouquet with hints of faint pear and ash. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and delicate. The flavor profile is a green apple skin and bee’s wax blend with notes of honey and almond. We also detected hints of lemon tea and white peach. The finish is rather dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite some time. We would pair this Riesling with a pork schnitzel. Enjoy - KWGTP
