Wine Review: This clear and light ruby colored Pinot Noir from Kosta Browne opens with a strawberry and tobacco leaf bouquet with hints of red plum, iris, sauteed mushroom, and mild book leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a black plum and stony minerality blend with notes of mild lingonberry and gentle oak. We also detected hints of mushroom, tobacco, and a touch red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and grippy dusty tannins are nicely sustained. We would cellar this youthful Pinot for a little bit longer. If you can’t wait, decant it before pairing it with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 Beaune Premier Cru presents vibrant aromas of bright Bing cherry and cranberry, layered with lemongrass, white pepper, and a hint of savory umami. On the palate, there is a lively intensity, followed by restrained depth and broad, well-integrated acidity. The finish delivers beautifully structured tannins, leaving a long-lasting impression.
