Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega opens with a mild cedar, black cherry, and stony minerality bouquet with hints of blueberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and graceful. The flavor profile is an extracted blueberry and stone dust blend with notes of cedar and cherry compote. We also detected hints of tobacco, oregano, and acai berry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty fine tannins are nicely extended. We would suggest decanting this wine in the near term as it opens up a lot with aeration. We could certainly sip this wine. With food we would pair this Cab with a pan-seared duck breast with a savory and sweet blackberry pan sauce along with bourbon and shallots. Enjoy - KWGTP
