Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Merlot from Cotarella opens with a cedar and cinnamon bouquet with hints of new leather and red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and silky. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced lingonberry and cinnamon blend with notes of pipe tobacco and red plum, and menthol. We also detected hints of black olive and graphite. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate refined tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this Merlot with cedar plank grilled Norwegian salmon or steak Florentine. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red. Sharp and direct at the nose, with some fresh red fruit, cherry, then raspberry, and the sweetness of vanilla. At the palate the wine present itself with a good structure, a sweet tannin and nice drinkability.
