Wine Review: This hazy and deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from V. Sattui opens with a gentle blackberry and craisin bouquet with hints of clove cookie, dried coconut, and cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, supple, and harmonious. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced cassis and cinnamon blend with notes of cherry-cola and menthol. We also detected hints of graphite, red plum, and clove. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with slow cooked beef brisket or with lamb kabobs. Enjoy - KWGTP
