Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with a black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of red currant and red licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and delicate. The flavor profile is a tasty dark chocolate and black cherry blend with notes of tangy black raspberry and pomegranate. We also detected hints of fresh muddled mint, cinnamon, cedar, and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed refined mild tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Zinfandel with Korean beef bulgogi or slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This incredible vineyard provides us with a wine that is dark and rich with fruit forward aromas of blackberry pie, boysenberry, and black cherry, mixed with hints of white and black pepper, cumin, and cocoa powder. The palate is lively with blackberry pie, boysenberry, mixed cherries and plum. Subtle notes of pepper, sage brush and espresso add to its lush and complex mouthfeel. This bold Zinfandel exudes luxury with its exceptional depth and refined finish.
