Wine Review: This translucent and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Domaine Anderson opens with a black raspberry and loam bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and on the rich side. The flavor profile is pretty complex. It features very tasty black cherry and mild black licorice flavors along with notes of gentle blackberry tea and graphite. I also detected hints of mushroom, fig, spiced black plum, and a touch of citrus. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot Noir with duck à l'orange. Enjoy - Ken
