Wine Review: This midnight black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Crossbarn opens with a mild black currant and black olive bouquet with hints of oak, blackberry, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a graphite and blackberry blend with notes of black olive, black currant, and oolong tea. We also detected hints of black cherry and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild fine tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with steak fajitas or with shepherd’s pie. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Displaying a concentrated garnet hue, the wine opens with aromas of mulberry and blackberry interwoven with graphite, tobacco leaf, and a touch of espresso bean. The palate is plush and powerful, exhibiting notes of cassis and black plum complemented by hints of toffee and cacao nibs, adding depth and weight through the midpalate. Richly textured and elegantly balanced with well-integrated tannins and focused acidity following through to a seamless and refined finish.
