Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Petit Verdot from V. Sattui opens with a violet and lilac bouquet with hints of black plum, sage, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a marionberry and graphite blend with notes of black tea and oak. We also detected hints of black currant, herbes de Provence, and cranberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and medium dusty tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Petit Verdot with barbecue Texas dino ribs or with dark chocolate. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 Petit Verdot is a deep, inky stunner, bursting with expressive aromas of raspberry jam and fresh red cherry. On the palate, bold layers of cranberry sauce and a hint of dark chocolate unfold, balanced by silky, well-integrated tannins. Aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak, it delivers plush richness and refined complexity—a wine that leaves a lasting impression of depth, elegance, and power.
