Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot based wine from Chateau Puyanche opens with a black raspberry and moderate cedar bouquet with hints of red cherry and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a graphite and marionberry blend with notes of gentle tobacco and black tea. We also detected hints of oak and black plum. The finish is dry, and its managed tannins are quite dusty and show nice length. We would pair this wine with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
