Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Franc from Paumanok opens with a black licorice and mint bouquet with hints of blackberry, vanilla, cinnamon, and balsam wood. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, layered, and slightly concentrated. The flavor profile is a ripe elderberry and green tea blend with notes of bay leaf, cedar, and blackberry. We also detected hints of black licorice, tobacco, and vanilla.
