Wine Review: This slightly hazy and light gold colored Gewurztraminer from Fitz Ritter opens with an inviting lychee and passion fruit bouquet with hints of ripe pear. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a lychee and mild bosc pear blend with notes of ginger and iced tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Gewurz with Pam’s macaroons. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This is a sweeter, "typically Pfalz" Gewürztraminer which enjoys a great following and is always a favorite. It is never over-the-top sweet, always subtle with a delightful lychee, rose petal and sweet honeydew melon palate and a delicate spiciness.
