Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored "Old Vine" Riesling from Nik Weis is a very god value. It opens with a ginger ale and quince bouquet with hints of green apple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, fresh, zesty, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a white tea and lemon blend with notes of pineapple and lemon. I also detected hints of white pepper, saline, and lime zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. I would pair this refreshing off-dry Riesling with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The St. Urbans-Hof Estate Riesling "From Old Vines" represents everything you can expect from a fine Riesling from Germany’s renowned Mosel Valley. It has the elegance and freshness that Riesling is known for plus the depth and finesse that only wines from old gnarly vines can have.
