Wine Review: This opaque and dark garnet colored Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Château Phélan Ségur opens with a cassis and graphite bouquet with hints of blackberry and oak. On the palate this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is cassis and graphite blend with notes of blackberry and oak. The finish is rather dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Bordeaux blend with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
