Wine Review: This clear and brilliant light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Cristom opens with a shy green apple, pineapple, and moist bread dough bouquet with hints of lemon and honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, slightly viscous, bright and a little zesty. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear tart and spice blend with notes of pineapple and lemon zest. We also detected hints of honey, chalky minerality, and a dash of white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would pair this Oregon Chard with a pan-seared Chilean sea bass or with chicken piccata. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of Meyer lemon, glazed citrus, warm spices, and toasted brioche captivate the senses. The unctuous texture and mid-palate weight bring a refined, nuanced richness, effortlessly balancing the bright, lively acidity. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, and tropical guava carry through to a crisp, mineral finish with subtle toasted notes. Pair with a creamy Alaskan Halibut Olympia.
