Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Barlow opens with a blackberry and blueberry bouquet with hints of pencil lead and anise. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, lush, and seamless. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and black currant blend with notes of black plum and chocolate. We also detected hints of oolong tea, oak, and tart cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its refined mild tannins drift away nicely while just a little heat is peeking thru. We would pair this Cab with slow cooked brisket or a filet with a balsamic glaze. Enjoy - KWGTP
