Wine Review: This clear and medium red colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with a sarsaparilla and stone dust bouquet with hints of cinnamon, espresso, sage, cherry, and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tart cherry and cranberry blend with notes of strawberry, vanilla and stony minerality. We also detected hints of red licorice, white pepper, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this versatile Oregon Pinot with grilled veal chop or with cowboy pork chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Alluring aromas of lavender, violet, licorice, and stewed cherries unfold alongside savory notes of brie cheese and nori. The palate opens with a silken texture, layered with crunchy tannins that build into a powerhouse frame. Flavors of black cherries, blueberries, cola, and a subtle saline edge carry through the finish. Pair with chicken pot pie with mushrooms and brie.
