Wine Review: This clear and medium, yellow-colored Chardonnay from Raen opens with a lemon zest and oak bouquet with hints of pineapple and Bosc pear. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky smooth, and zesty. The flavor profile is a lemon tea and pineapple blend with notes of chalky minerality and oak. We also detected hints of white pepper, saline, pear, and ginger. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity glide away nicely. We would pair this refined Chard with chilled crab cocktail. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This bottling is dedicated to our grandmother Marjorie, who has always been a guiding light and inspiration for us. As winegrowers, the 2024 vintage on the far Sonoma Coast will be remembered as a year when winter rains, coastal breezes, and a long, patient ripening came together in perfect harmony. This Chardonnay displays lively aromas of lemon pith, key lime, honeysuckle blossom, and summer-ripened nectarine jump from the glass, followed by crushed wet rock and distinct mineral tones that transport us to the coast where the vines are rooted. Bright citrus, stone fruit and beeswax are beautifully intertwined on the palate, reminding us of the pollinators that come alive in our vineyard, leading to a vibrant, zesty finish that balances richness and precision.
