Wine Review: This slightly hazy and ruby colored Gamay from Yohan Lardy opens with a turned earth and black plum bouquet with hints of celery and rose sachet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, mouthwatering, and refreshing. The flavor profile is a spiced black plum and strawberry blend with notes of stony minerality. We also detected hints of black tea and red currant. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate slightly sticky tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this versatile and food friendly Cru level Chenas with a dark meat turkey pot pie. Enjoy - KWGTP
