Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a boysenberry and cherry-cola bouquet with hints of raisin, blackberry, and sage. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, structured, and savory. The flavor profile is a graphite and loganberry blend with notes of black licorice and sage. We also detected hints of blackberry and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins are chewy and nicely sustained. We would pair this impressive Zin with a braised lamb shoulder our Forge & Vine's short rib poutine. Enjoy - KWGTP
