Wine Review: This translucent dark red colored Zinfandel from Carol Shelton opens with an inviting red raspberry and cinnamon tea bouquet with hints of bayberry candle and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and a little mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a gentle blend of red plum and red raspberry with notes of stone dust and red licorice. We also detected hints of black pepper and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate fine tannins linger and last for quite some time. We would pair this Zin with Firefly’s Memphis barbecue baby back ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
