Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Whitehall Lane opens with a black currant and wild cherry bouquet with hints of dried coconut, bayberry, leather, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a black currant and graphite blend with notes of and blackberry and black tea. We also detected hints of menthol, tobacco, black licorice, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Cab with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of a perfectly balanced valley floor Cabernet with excellent fruit concentration. On the nose, this wine offers sweet blackberries, dried Mission figs, black cherries, toasted vanillin, and a hint of cigar box. The palate offers rich and velvety tannins, dark chocolate-covered cherries, black plums, mixed berry pie and toasted walnuts. This offering is enjoyable today but will also evolve with cellar aging through 2040.
