Wine Review: This clear and medium white gold colored Chardonnay from Amici opens with a pineapple and gentle oak bouquet with hints of vanilla, banana, and pear. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, a little lush, and zesty. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and gentle pineapple blend with notes of mild oak and vanilla. I also detected hints of almond, white pepper, and a touch of caramel at the very end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely before fading away. I would pair this Chard with Emeril’s kicked up crab cakes. Enjoy – Ken
