Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Cabernet Franc from Lamoreaux Landing in the Finger Lakes opens with a rhubarb and red licorice bouquet with hints of red bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and bell pepper blend with notes of oak, rhubarb, and toasty oak. I also detected hints of nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate sticky tannins. I would serve this Cab Franc slightly chilled with Hungarian goulash. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This light ruby Terra West Vineyard Cabernet Franc delivers bright cranberry and red cherry aromas with a hint of black pepper spice. The palate follows with tart cranberry and red berry flavors that stay lively and focused. Clean acidity and moderate tannins make this a natural for pork dishes, where the wine's fresh fruit and spice will complement without competing.
