Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Dutton Goldfield is excellent. It opens with a blackberry and oak bouquet with hints of loam and craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a red currant and cherry blend with notes of cinnamon and red licorice. I also detected hints of spiced red plum, loam, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this impressive Pinot Noir with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This vintage welcomes you with a beautifully aromatic bouquet of dried lavender, purple florals, and sandalwood, interwoven with savory hints of bay leaf and dried floral undertones. The palate follows with layers of dark cherry and wild strawberry, enriched by warm baking spices and a graceful herbal complexity. Its refined structure and lifted, savory edge make it an especially food-friendly expression of Pinot Noir. Ideal pairings include roasted root vegetable gratin with nutmeg and Gruyère, wild mushroom and caramelized onion pasta with sage and Parmesan, or King salmon served alongside a crisp fennel and citrus salad. Each pairing brings out a unique facet of the wine’s vibrant and layered personality.
