Wine Review: This translucent and ruby red colored Nebbiolo from Borgo Lame in the Barolo comune in Italy opens with a black cherry and cigar box bouquet with hints of rose petals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky. Some tannins drift in the longer you have it in your mouth. The flavor profile is a stony dust and red raspberry tea blend with notes of maraschino cherry and red licorice. I also detected hints of oak and red plum. The finish is dry, and its bold and dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Garnet red.
Flavor: Intense bouquet, evolving from violet and withered rose to "goudron", with cinnamon hints.
Taste: Vigorous, caressing, and rich in tannin.
Food Pairing: Roasts, game meat and mature cheeses.
