Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Francis opens with a blackberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of black licorice and black currant. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and black licorice blend with notes of black plum and dark chocolate. I also detected hints of black currant, stone dust, and a touch of black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would pair this terrific Cabernet Sauvignon with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied, aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon reveals pronounced fruit and spice with each sip. Notes of wild blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate, and savory spices expand on the mid-palate extending to a long, rich finish with velvety tannins.
