Wine Review: This graceful Anderson Valley sparking blend of 78% Pinot Noir and 22% Chardonnay is a medium straw color with small streaming bubbles. The inviting bouquet includes delicious apple, yellow peach, hazelnut, vanilla, dried cherries, and toasted brioche. It is creamy on the palate, with a generous mousse. It is medium-plus bodied with integrated medium-plus acidity, and is well-balanced, bright, and opulent. I found flavors of green apple, red cherry, Bosc pear, crushed stone, and lemon-lime along with hints of toasted hazelnut, nutmeg, and vanilla. The finish is refreshing, dry, and very long. Serve chilled with blue crab bisque. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: 2021 Clark Road Vineyard offers delicate aromas of fresh crushed berries, with light wood tones arising from the addition of the oak-aged wines. Vibrant acidity at entry is followed by a clean, full mouthfeel. Notes of berry and vanilla cream linger on the pleasing, dry finish, with the low dosage bringing the wine into perfect balance.
