Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sicilian red blend made from Nero d'Avola and Syrah opens with a red currant and red licorice bouquet with hints of tobacco and red plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a red currant and black cherry blend with notes of strawberry, cinnamon, and clove. I also detected hints of stone dust and slightly tart red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Sicilian red blend with a pepperoni pizza. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Dark red and violet hues, with spicy olfactory notes of sour cherry and incense. A very structured taste, never excessively tannic but harmonious, almost velvety.
