Wine Review: This translucent and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Domaine Drouhin in Oregon opens with a light lemon verbena and Juicy Fruit gum bouquet with hints of pineapple, vanilla, mango, and jasmine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a lemon curd and gentle Bartlett pear blend with notes of stone minerality and pineapple. We also detected hints of light oak, white pepper, and ginger. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this food friendly and versatile Chard with a Ritz Cracker encrusted baked cod or with crab cakes. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Fresh and complex, our 2023 Roserock Chardonnay reflects the vibrant character of our Eola-Amity Hills vineyard. Bursting with aromas of crisp green apple, honeysuckle, gardenia, and lemon zest, the wine unfolds on the palate with a generous roundness and refreshing citrus, ginger, and whisps of nutty crème. Its precise acidity and stony minerality provide a delightful balance, mixing energy with elegance. This wine is delicious now and will evolve happily over the next 7-10 years.
