Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Mauritson opens with a lemon and green apple bouquet with hints of banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and savory. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and quince blend with notes of buttery croissant. We also detected hints of pineapple and coconut. The finish is dry, and its flavors, and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this food friendly Chard with a chilled crab cocktail or crab cakes. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: On the nose, delicate aromas of white Phlox, peach flesh, caramelized brioche flakes and wet river stone swirl amid scents of roasted Marcona almonds. The entry is fresh and creamy. Subtle minerality frames the crisp Gravenstein apple skin and clover honeycomb notes. Bottled unfiltered, this Chardonnay will drink gracefully over the next 7+ years.
