Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a mulberry and tobacco leaf bouquet with hints of loam and faint pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a mulberry and graphite blend with notes of black tea and cedar. We also detected hints of black pepper, loam, and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate dusty tannins drift away nicely. We would decant this Zin in the near tear before pairing it with a grilled venison steak and wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
