Wine Review: This clear and gold colored Chardonnay from Domaine de la Riviere opens with a Bartlett pear and vanilla bouquet with hints of pineapple and dried coconut. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and rich. The flavor profile is a poached Bartlett pear and oak blend with notes of dried coconut and vanilla wafer. I also detected hints of grilled pineapple and a touch of mango at the very end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Chardonnay with crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
