Wine Review: This translucent and ruby colored Zinfandel from Robert Biale opens with a black cherry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of nutmeg and plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and a little lush. The flavor profile is a graphite and black plum blend with notes of black cherry and mild licorice. We also detected hints of cola and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Zin with chateaubriand. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A characteristically Moon Mountain note of chaparral underlies aromas of blackberry, anise, and pomegranate molasses. Driven by Monte Rosso's® distinctive vibrant acidity, the palate shows flavors of cedar, black cherry, dried herbs, and nutmeg. Finely woven tannins extend the wine towards an elegant finish.
