Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Far Niente opens with a light lime and gentle oak bouquet with hints of faint grapefruit and lemon verbena. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle oak and lemon verbena blend with notes of chamomile tea and Anjou pear. We also detected hints of almond paste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this Chardonnay with a chilled crab cocktail. Enjoy - Ken & Mark

Winemaker Notes: Brimming with freshness and finesse, the 2024 Far Niente Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of melon, citrus blossom, ripe peach, and pear, with a whisper of vanilla and toasted hazelnut in the background. The palate is bright and layered, offering flavors of grilled citrus and wet stone over a smooth, creamy texture. A juicy finish with subtle spice and lively acidity adds the final polish. This vintage offers both vibrancy and depth, a graceful expression of Napa Valley.
