Wine Review: A lithe, very dry sparkler from the Green Valley area in the Russian River Valley is a golden yellow color with plenty of streams of small bubbles. It exudes aromas of toasted brioche, honeycomb, lime zest, and green apple. There is a nice big burst of froth on the palate, with a medium body, integrated plus acidity, and a slightly creamy mouthfeel. I found it to be bright, vibrant, and clean with flavors of tart Bartlett pear, strawberry, crushed stone, toasted almond, and lime. I also picked up some notes of pastry crust and ginger. The finish is dry, tangy, and long. Serve chilled with Snow crab legs and drawn butter with a dash of Old Bay. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: 2021 Brut X is a striking expression of modern sparkling wine. Unapologetically dry, luminously bright, and brimming with character. From the first pour, it dazzles with its fine, persistent bubbles and crystalline clarity. On the palate, the texture is luxuriously smooth, balanced by a lively thread of acidity that brings clarity and precision. A burst of crisp apple greets the front of the palate, giving way to a soft, almost honeyed note of dried stone fruit at the center. The finish lingers gently, touched by a subtle echo of almond cream. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply embracing the joy of the everyday, Brut X is the bottle you’ll want to reach for again and again.
