Wine Review: This clear and garnet colored Grenache based blend from Jambe de Bois opens with a lingonberry and red currant bouquet with hints of red licorice, prune, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is stone dust and red cherry blend with notes of raspberry tea, black pepper, and Twizzler strawberry licorice. We also detected hints of cinnamon, salami, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle tannins drift away nicely. This wine benefits from a little aeration. Then we would pair this it with a tangy pulled pork platter. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2021 Rhone Style Blend is our inaugural wine from Rossi Ranch. This stunning vineyard is top tier for producing Rhone varietals and is known as the "To Kalon" of Sonoma. This wine tastes of juicy Bing cherry and Herbs de Provence with stunning depth, richness, and flavor. I co-fermented the Grenache and Mourvèdre to make the 2021 RSB were with 30% whole cluster and aged sur lees for just over a year. Drinking amazing now, or lay down for 5-10 years.
