Wine Review: This clear and deep gold colored Chardonnay from Cristom opens with a honeysuckle and chamomile bouquet with hints of almond and faint lemon verbena. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is initially rather bracing and perky but settles down with some aeration. The flavor profile is a lemon verbena and green tea blend with notes of Anjou pear and saline. We also detected hints of green apple, almond, and a touch of honeycomb. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. We would pair this very refreshing Chard with baked stuffed clams casino. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Willamette Valley Chardonnay is a blend of barrels from benchmark vineyards across the region, including the Cristom Estate. Crafted with the same meticulous care as our Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay and single-vineyard Chardonnays, this cuvée is designed to represent the broader Willamette Valley AVA. It offers a compelling expression of the vintage. It is vibrant, balanced, and unmistakably Cristom, at a remarkable value.
