Wine Review: This hazy and dark ruby colored red blend from Serres Ranch opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of boysenberry and bay leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, zesty, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted black currant and black licorice blend with notes of black olive, black raspberry jam, and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and bay leaf. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild dusty tannins linger for a while. I would pair this fruity red blend with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2021 Watriss is a new release and continues to evolve in the bottle. The wine’s juicy palate is marked by beautiful acidity and notes of fresh black cherries, red currants, and dried herbs. Well-balanced, medium tannins and body make for an excellent wine with or without food. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-10 years. Pair with a big ribeye or flank steak.
