Wine Review: This clear and golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Peter Zemmer opens with a poached Bartlett pear and cantaloupe bouquet with hints of green apple, banana, and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, bright, and lively for a Chard. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and chalky minerality blend with notes of quince, saline, and white pepper. I also detected hints of lemon verbena, green tea, and honeydew melon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and mouthwatering acidity linger and last for a while after the wine is gone. I would pair this Chard with Ritz Cracker encrusted baked cod. Enjoy – Ken
