Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and almost clear colored Chardonnay from Innumero is very tropical. It opens with a measured oak and grilled pineapple bouquet with hints of Anjou pear, white peach, and faint butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, vibrant, and very very flavorful. The flavor profile is a very ripe pineapple and toasted oak blend with notes of papaya, peach, and butterscotch We also detected hints of white tea and almond. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would enjoy Chard on its own. With food we would pair it with chicken piccata or with a crab and fresh corn chowder. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our 2024 Bootlegger Chardonnay is a radiant expression of the Hyde clone, showcasing the purity and finesse that make this vineyard so exceptional. On the nose, delicate aromas of lemon meringue and lemon curd unfold gracefully, lifted by vibrant notes of Meyer lemon and a whisper of Satsuma orange. A floral bouquet of honeysuckle and jasmine adds a captivating layer of complexity, drawing you in with its aromatic charm. The palate is bright, juicy, and beautifully textured. Layers of citrus, especially lemon curd and fresh zest are seamlessly woven together, supported by a lively acidity that brings precision and energy to the wine’s structure. It’s a Chardonnay that balances richness with restraint, offering both immediate pleasure and long-term potential. Now in its second vintage, this wine continues to impress with its clarity and depth. While it’s irresistible today, it’s built to evolve. Expect graceful aging over the next 8 to 10 years, revealing even more nuance and character with time.
