Wine Review: This hazy deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from V. Sattui opens with a ripe blackberry and graphite bouquet with hints of tobacco, marionberry, and cocoa. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and a bit zesty. The flavors in this wine build-up the longer it's in your mouth. Those flavors are a blend of black raspberry and black licorice blend with notes of blackberry, graphite, black tea, and fresh muddled mint. We also detected hints of black cherry, lemon zest, and cocoa. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed refined soft tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: High-elevation fruit meets layered intensity in this expressive Cabernet. Aromas of baking spice, allspice, and warm cherry pie rise from the glass, accented by a touch of dark cocoa. On the palate, ripe blueberry and blackberry give way to concentrated red cherry, creating a vibrant interplay of depth and lift. A natural brightness drives the wine forward, bringing energy and precision through the mid-palate, while fine, structured tannins provide shape without heaviness. The finish is long, juicy, and polished, lingering with spiced red fruit and a subtle savory edge.
