Wine Review: This hazy and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with a mild teaberry and strawberry bouquet with hints of cedar and plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and approachable. The flavor profile is a stony minerality, cedar, and plum blend with notes of black cherry and iced tea. I also detected hints of cinnamon, blackberry, and currant. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and gentle tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with duck confit. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2023 vintage features a rich, ripe profile, with notes of chocolate-covered cherry, wood spice, rhubarb, and black and red berries. The entry presents a luscious mouthfeel accompanied on the palate by notes of plum and cocoa leading to a persistent finish. Well-developed tannic structure signals a long life ahead for this beautiful bottling.
