Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec from Colome opens with a blackberry and mild tobacco bouquet with hints of stony minerality. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and robust. The flavor profile is a black olive and steely minerality blend with notes of espresso and macerated black cherry. I also detected hints of oak, black licorice, and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild dusty tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this rustic styled Malbec with steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Very deep color, almost black, with purple reflections. Elegant and complex nose: black fruit (blackberry, cherry), spicy (white pepper) and floral (violet) and mineral notes. Well integrated toasting of the barrels. On the palate it is very fruity, vibrant, and concentrated, with a good structure and firm tannins.
