Wine Review: This clear and light red colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a light oak and gentle cranberry bouquet with hints of strawberry, moss, and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a red plum, clove spice drop, and gentle cedar blend with notes of shitake mushroom and maraschino cherry. We also detected hints of wild strawberry and dried herbs. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with mahi-mahi tacos or pork roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: From the renowned Chalone Vineyard, this vibrant wine opens with aromas of blackberry bramble, raspberry, and white pepper. Refined tannins frame a palate of strawberry, tobacco leaf, and Bing cherry, with persistent red fruit on the finish.
