Wine Review: Long Island wineries have done a tremendous job with the Chardonnay grape over the last few years and this one from Jamesport is no exception. This wine opens with a mild bouquet that offers slight hints of vanilla. On the palate, this wine displays terrific balance. The mouthfeel is round and creamy. The wine shows good fruit flavors and a touch of vanilla. The finish is dry and nicely extended. This wine would be a terrific complement to a chicken and broccoli pasta dish with a cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Only produced in exceptional vintages, the Jamesport Reserve Chardonnay is a direct reflection of the hot 2005 growing season. This wine has complex aromas of orange blossom, pear and sandalwood. Rich flavors of ripe peaches and pears persist and intensify on the palate. The long textured finish includes notes of vanilla and crème brûlée. Drink with roast chicken, roast pork or flavorful fish dishes.
