Wine Review: This wine is really good at the right temperature which is cool not cold. This very light white gold colored wine opens with a wonderfully inviting lime and green apple bouquet with hints of canned peas. On the palate, this wine is smooth, viscous, well balanced, mouthwatering, and delicious. The flavor profile is lime with hints of lemon and melon. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. This is a very versatile and food friendly wine that would pair perfectly with chicken and broccoli in a nice cream sauce. This is one of the best Sauvignon Blancs from California that we have tried this year. Remember; don’t serve this wine too cold as the acidity will rise and hide the wonderful flavors. Cheers – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Created in the same style as the 2005 our 2006 John Anthony Church Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of ripe, spicy thyme, marjoram, and white pepper overlaid by fruity melon and nectarine. The palate has a beautifully balanced lively herbal layer over a crisp yet full bodied midpalate with melon and gooseberry flavors and an orange blossom honey finish.
