Wine Review: I quite found of well made kitchen sink blends. This one from Atrea has 4 of my favorite grapes and perfectly blended them together. This wine opens with a sweet boysenberry like bouquet. It smells like a very attractive Zin. On the palate, this wine is very very smooth, well balanced, and has juicy concentrated black current and black cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry and has fine tannins that sail along nicely. This wine is very well made and will pair perfectly with a nice juicy pepper encrusted steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The soft, spicy aromatics of this New World-style blend introduce a supple, jammy fruit palate with a long, velvety finish. This wine yields aromas of dusty blackberries (zinfandel), rich, earthy soil (syrah), blueberry-pie (malbec), and a dash of pepper (petite sirah). The flavors range from black cherry and chocolate to dark spices and game. Our proprietary wine-making protocols soften the tannins to produce a polished young wine that’s sophisticated yet approachable. This is a crowd-pleasing wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared.
