Wine Review: This Chardonnay from South Africa represents a pleasant change of style from where Chard is heading these days. This yellow gold Chard opens up with a nutty and oaky like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is balanced, smooth, creamy, and shows wood influenced light apple flavors. The finish is dry and quite pleasing. As I mentioned, this wine brings a different and interesting dynamic for Chard lovers. Enjoy this wine with many foods but we would pair it with quiche Lorraine or chicken and mushroom ravioli with a light cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: An intense and concentrated bottling. Citrus and apple notes finishing with crisp acidity and excellent length. Nutty with some hazelnut, fig and quince – like character.
